Melissa Talley-Palmer brings many years’ experience working in corporate and non-profit community arts and education as an Administrative Assistant and Education Program Manager for Internal Revenue Service, PECO Energy Company, The Village of Arts and Humanities, Art Sanctuary, Philadelphia Jazz Project of Culture Trust, Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Olney Culture Lab of Culture Trust.  She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Peirce Junior College and Community College of Philadelphia studying Business Administration, Secretarial Science and Accounting.  Melissa completed her Arts Administrator certification through Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in 2005.

In addition to her work as an arts administrator, Melissa has created and produced art for many years as an event planner, playwright, dance instructor and performer.  Funded by Leeway Foundation in 2006 and 2017, she won the Art and Change Grants producing “Let Not Your History Be A Mystery, Breaking the Silence of Molestation” and “Let’s Dance” projects.  As an event planner, she worked successfully with Inner Circle, Germantown United CDC and The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz.  Having danced with Eleone Dance Theater, presented Oldies Dance events and instructed Bop & Cha Cha classes at the Free Library of Philadelphia, Melissa is committed to growing community education and arts connections.
