Michelle Angela Ortiz, Program Manager, brings over 15 years of experience as a visual artist/ skilled muralist/ community arts educator to the Foundation by developing programs to support the professional development of teaching artists in the city, maintaining communication with grantees, and providing administrative support. Since 2008, Michelle has led community building and art for social change public art projects through the United States Embassy as a Cultural Envoy in several countries in Oceania, Europe, and Latin America. Michelle is an active board member of the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Moore College of Art & Design and a Master’s Degree in Science of Arts and Cultural Management from Rosemont College. Her work with the Foundation supports her goal in creating a genuine exchange where arts is used as a tool for communication, awareness, empowerment and education.
