Bio

Felicia Casher, known artistically as Withlove, Felicia, is a poet, teaching & healing artist, and cultural steward whose work lives at the intersection of creativity, healing, and community engagement. Rooted in a deep belief that art is both medicine and mirror, she creates spaces where people, especially Black and Brown women & youth, can see themselves reflected, affirmed, and expanded through creative expression. Her practice is grounded in the understanding that storytelling, poetry, and visual arts are not luxuries, but necessary tools for identity formation, liberation, and connection.

Felicia leads after-school programs, workshops, residencies, and arts initiatives in Philadelphia, designing experiences that center student voice, cultural pride, and interdisciplinary learning. She is the creator of Make Space, an after-school arts program exploring work inspired by Black and Brown artists, where students engage in creative exploration while building confidence, critical thinking skills, and self-awareness. Her curriculum intentionally bridges art with literacy, history, and social-emotional learning, encouraging young people to see creativity as both personal expression and academic strength.

Trained in trauma-informed and culturally responsive teaching, Felicia integrates performance, mentorship, and facilitation to empower students, women and fellow artists alike. She has completed advanced professional development, including trauma-informed teaching artist certification, which informs her ability to design safe, responsive, and emotionally grounded learning environments. Her approach honors the lived experiences students bring into the room, cultivating trust, agency, and collective care. Whether guiding a poetry workshop, facilitating a reflective art session, or mentoring emerging teaching artists, she leads with empathy, structure, and joy.

Beyond the classroom, Felicia is a dynamic performer and community convener. Through spoken word, hosting, and curated creative experiences, she builds bridges between artists, educators, and neighborhoods. She understands that community work is not a one-time engagement but an ongoing relationship, and she nurtures those relationships with integrity and intention.

Felicia is often hired and called back to her hometown to continue this work; an affirmation of both her impact and her commitment. She moves between cities while remaining rooted in purpose, carrying her voice, vision, and cultural grounding wherever she serves. Her work bridges education, artistry, and community development, creating lasting opportunities for expression, connection, and transformation.

At her core, Felicia is dedicated to cultivating spaces where creativity becomes a pathway to healing, empowerment, and collective growth—where art is not simply taught, but lived.

Arts. Community. Transformation.
