Arts without Boundaries mission is to provide access to high-quality performing arts education and opportunities for young people, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status, with the goal of fostering creativity, self-expression, and personal growth.

Cambodian American Girls Empowering

Cambodian American Girls Empowering's mission is to create safe spaces for the exploration of Cambodian American arts, culture, and identities. More info:

Dance Iquail

Founded in 2007, Dance Iquail works uses movement to promote a world of equity and equality. DI uses the art of dance as a conduit to create social change primarily for those considered to be disadvantaged.

Committed to perpetuating the legacy of American dance by providing affordable dance training, performances of the highest artistic merit, and bringing the live performing dance arts to new and underserved communities by widening access to the arts for all communities.

FamFrequency Productions

FamFrequency Productions empowers young music producers with the skills, resources, and relationships needed to build sustainable careers in the music industry. Through comprehensive education in music production, branding, financial literacy, and business planning, we aim to create pathways to income for artists and audio engineers.

Juntos is a community-led, Latine, immigrant organization in South Philadelphia fighting for our human rights as workers, parents, youth, and immigrants. Through Guachinangos Youth Music Academy, we work with a collective of musicians who are immigrants, culture bearers, and activists working to preserve traditional Latin American music styles, fuse Mexican folkloric music with Afro-Colombian rhythms, and mentor the next generation of Latinx youth. Fayatte Coppock-Brown

Fayatte Coppock-Brown (she/her) is a dancer and movement teaching artist. This grant will be used for the"Mourning Mothers" Community Dance Project.


Kara Mshinda

Kara Mshinda (she/her) is a teaching artist in visual art and photographer Kara will offer an Instant photography workshop for teens.


Ken McFarlan

Ken McFarlan (he/him) is a photography teaching artist. This grant will be support the "Illuminate Me" Mobile Photography Workshop.


Adam Cooper

Adam Cooper (he/them) is a teaching artist in visual arts and photography. Adam will use this grant for a video portrait workshop with teens.


Katherine Kiefer-Stark

Katherine Kiefer-Stark (she/her) is a dance teaching artist. This grant will support a series of Intergenerational Community Movement Workshops.


Margery Cedano

Margery Cedano (she/her) is teaching artist in ceramics. This grant will buy equipment for community ceramics studio.

Felicia Crisden

Felicia Crisden

Felicia Crisden (she/her) is a storyteller. Felician will offer community candle-making and storytelling workshops with this grant.

Chinese Opera Society

Chinese Opera Society of Philadelphia Bartol Award Grantee 2023

The Chinese Opera Society of Philadelphia is the 2023 Winner of the George Bartol Arts Education Award.

The Award of $5,000 is given to an organization that provides sustained, meaningful participation in the arts; that demonstrates an active engagement in the lives of its students and community; and that maintains high artistic standards for its faculty and students.
