Voices of Philly

At Voices of Philly, our mission is to provide underserved youth a transformative music education experience that empowers them to find and use their voice. Specifically, we aim to help students find their musical, personal, collective, community, and civic voice which they can use for a successful life. Our goal is to create a space that’s welcoming, joyful, and deeply connected to the lived experiences of Philly youth. We make space for every voice—no matter your background, your style, or your level. We focus on relevant, engaging repertoire that reflects the diverse voices and cultures of our city—music that young people can see themselves in, get excited about, and feel proud to sing. In a city rich with musical talent, VOP brings something different: a space where every young person can show up, be themselves, and feel the power of belonging through song.
