Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture: Cross-cultural arts exchange program ($5,000)

Al-Bustan-20130418_inq_dm1bustan18-bAl-Bustan Seeds of Culture is dedicated to presenting and teaching Arab culture through the arts and language. “Al-Bustan,” Arabic for “The Garden,” offers structured exposure to the language, art, architecture, music, dance, literature, and natural environment of the Arab world through artistic and educational programs. Art-Reach creates opportunities for people from the disability community and/or living with low-income to have greater access to arts and culture. More information here.

Art Sphere Inc.: General Operating Support ($5,000)

Art Sphere Inc. targets underserved populations in an effort to engage the creativity in communities, empower neighborhoods, explore the positives in peoples’ lives, and heal the mind, body, and spirit through art.  More information here.

Enchantment Theatre Company ($5,000)

Enchantment Theatre Company’s mission is to inspire children to dream, explore, think, and connect through imaginative storytelling onstage and in the classroom.  More information here.

Koresh Dance Company: Koresh Kids Dance-in-Schools Residencies ($5,000)

Kulu Mele African Dance & Drum Ensemble: General Operating Support ($5,000)

Philadanco builds the skills of emerging and professional dancers and choreographers in a nurturing environment, while increasing the appreciation of dance among its many communities. More information here.

Taller Puertorriqueño ($5,000)

Taller Puertorriqueño’s  primary purpose is to preserve, develop, and promote Puerto Rican arts and culture, grounded in the conviction that embracing one’s cultural heritage is central to community empowerment. Tibetan Association of Philadelphia: Tibetan Dance and Music Program ($7,500)
