Listen Up! Teaching Artists and Improvisation

Monday, October 9, 2017 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Everyone teaching in a community setting knows they have to be ready to expect the unexpected.  Join Bobbi Block, improv guru (Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Tongue & Groove, and the co-founder of ComedySportz) for this on-your-feet session to learn how to apply the improv tenets of  deep listening and  being actively “present” to your classroom practice.  Become more flexible and resilient to make your participants truly heard and to build trust for your work together.   You will leave with an understanding of behaviors aimed to foster a productive and calm environment — in yourself and in your classroom.  And learn how sometimes the best way to achieve your lesson plan is to let go of it!
