Self-Care for Your Participants…and Yourself

Start 2020 by committing to care for yourself as you give your creativity and care for others. As teaching artists, we often work with people who have been impacted by trauma or other life circumstances that can affect our physical and psychic selves. Helanah Warren (vegan yogi and wellness coach) will share specific techniques including how to “pay” yourself first, quit multitasking and scrap to-do lists. She will guide you through her top 3 selfcare strategies to relieve stress and reconnect with yourself including mindfulness, static movement and courageous journaling so you can support your creative practice and that of others with no guilt.
