Bio

Riley is a theatre artist, educator, and administrator passionate about the ongoing evolution of theater as an art form, and about works by and for those historically underrepresented in mainstream theater.

Riley grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, where they fell in love with musical theater through the local community theater scene, and started performing professionally as a teenager. In 2024, they graduated with a BFA in Musical Theater from the University of the Arts. While at UArts, they had the incredible privilege of learning from Broadway veterans, performing in groundbreaking new plays and musicals, and studying Shakespeare abroad at the Globe Theatre in London. They also discovered their passion for vocal pedagogy and music theory, leading them to minor in music.

Riley discovered their love for teaching while interning at Spotlight Musical Theatre Academy in Oregon during their summers home from college, where they assisted with choreography, music direction, technical support, and student mentorship. They believe music and theater have a unique ability to inspire empathy, understanding, and confidence, and their goal is to nurture these qualities in their students while providing them the tools they need to exceed their own goals as young artists and humans. Riley has since worked as a Saturday Drama School Administrator at the Arden Theatre Company, and has developed and taught extracurricular drama and music classes at schools throughout Philadelphia and NYC.

Arts. Community. Transformation.
