PACES Connection

A social network that supports communities to accelerate the global PACEs science movement, to recognize the impact of positive & adverse childhood experiences (PACEs) in shaping adult behavior and health, and to promote trauma-informed and resilience-building practices and policies in all communities and institutions — from schools to prisons to hospitals and churches — to help heal and to develop resilience instead of traumatizing already traumatized people. PACEs Connection membership is free and open to the public.

 

Lakeside Global Institute

Offers a slate of courses that inform professionals on some of the basic physical, mental, and social outcomes of trauma. These interactive workshops are facilitated in person, live via web-based platform, or in a 100% asynchronous format. Registration fees apply.

 

Cultural Somatics Institute from Resmaa Menakem

Somatic Abolitionism is an embodied way of living that builds resilience and discernment, upends white-body supremacy, and trains our bodies, individually and collectively, to rediscover their natural alignment. At the Cultural Somatics Institute, Menakem offers a slate of online courses (including a micro-certification). Registration fees apply.

 

Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain to follow Zaretta Hammond

A blog and landing page for Zaretta Hammond where she seeks to highlight what she is learning from being out in schools and classrooms with teachers who are successful with diverse students, as well as focus on how educators can take everyday strategies and practices and put them to work in their classrooms to be more culturally responsive.

 

The Neurosequential Network, Dr. Bruce Perry’s Educational Model

Develops and disseminates innovative programs and practices to improve life for children, families and communities. The model, developed by Bruce D. Perry, MD, PhD, is an approach that integrates core principles of neurodevelopment and traumatology to inform work with children, families and the communities in which they live. Under Neurosequential Model in Education, trainings are available for educators. Registration fees apply.

 

Storiez Trauma Workshops from Dr. Meagan Corrado

Corrado is Philadelphia-based Doctor of Social Work and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, as well as an artist and arts educator. As the founder of Storiez, this site is a hub for her resources, workshop offerings, and speaking engagements.
